Requirements on surface quality of machines and facilities have and labour costs have increasing steadily. A way to meet these requirements is the automation of surface treatment.

Blastmanrobots have proved their efficiency for over 10 years of use in different areas of surface applications. They are used worldwide for spraying of waggons, cast parts and steel constructions.

The delivered BLASTMAN facility to VALMET foundry in Juv"skyl"/Finnland consists a blast booth with front gates on both sides, dust removement, hydraulic driven rail dolly and a poratable steel robot on 8 axis.

The steel room has a length of 16 m and a width of 6,5 m and a height 7 m. The characteristic exception on this facility is the lower telescope robot arm which allows the sand blasting of up to 8 m long rolls.

Sandblast parts of motor blocks and rolls of paper machines are driven into the spray booth with help of an hydraulic driven rail dolly. The gates get closed and the user starts the right blasting programm for this individual workpiece.  

The robot cleans the workpiece equipped with a 16 mm venturi nozzle in connection with a 10 bar pressure from sand rests and corrosion. 

Robots clean the waggon with mineral sandblast material which is sprayed through a 166 mm venturi nozzlee with a working pressure of 6 bar. 

Workpieces of alumnium and steel waggons or parts are cleaned in and outside.
